Good morning 21st Century Families! Let's take a look into Ms. Kociak's Power Reading Group. Today our 2nd grade friends from Ms. Vincent & Ms. Conte's class are learning how to blend letter sounds to sound out the word with a game called "Roll & Read." They roll the dice & whatever number the dice falls on, they have to sound out the word in the corresponding row. Awesome job 2nd grade scholars!

Let's take a look in to Ms. Mulderink's Kindergarten Class. Today was Storytime with Ms. Stratton, our Instructional Coach. Ms. Stratton read a story called, "Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving." We love how the students were focused, engaged, & quietly listening to the story. Kudos to our kindergarten friends!

Good morning 21st Century Families! We are loving the enthusiasm from Mrs. Parchman's class. This morning they were fully engaged in their Raz Kids reading lesson & then a "Guess Who" game for a brain break. Awesome job scholars!

Dear District 163 Parents,
We would like to share information about a resource available to all parents and caregivers in our community:
Aunt Martha’s Health & Wellness and the Urban Youth Trauma Center are inviting you to attend a virtual caregiver empowerment group on the first and third Thursday of the month from 6:00-8:00 PM. The next group takes place on November 18, Dec 2, and Dec 16. You are welcome to join even if you are unable to stay for the full time.
The purpose of this group is to create a safe place for caregivers to vent, ask questions, and learn new ideas on self-care and how to support your family. You will also have the opportunity to participate in discussions designed to help parents and caregivers develop skills to improve relationships and cope with challenges happening in your home and community. All caregivers are invited to attend.
If you are interested in joining the group, please register for the caregiver empowerment group here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/210074627867
